Stir-fried vermicelli with cabbage and shrimp is a simple home-cooked dish. The fried cabbage and vermicelli absorb the umami flavour of the shrimp and it is very delicious.
650 g Cabbage
30 g Dried shrimp
50 g Vermicelli
3 Ginger Slices
10 g Garlic
1 Tbsp Oyster sauce
1½ Tsp Fish sauce
½ Tsp Sesame Oil
150 mL Water
¼ Tsp Salt
¼ Tsp White Sugar
1. Soak vermicelli (50 g) and dried shrimp (30 g) for 15 min and set aside.
2. Cut cabbage (650 g) into small strips, add salt (½ Tsp) and soak for 10 min, set aside.
3. Add oil (2 Tbsp), stir fry the dried shrimp (30 g), ginger (3 slices) and garlic (10 g).
4. Add cabbage and water (150 mL), cover and simmer over medium heat for 2 min.
5. Add vermicelli, cover and simmer over medium heat for 2 min.
6. Add white sugar (¼ Tsp), salt (¼ Tsp), oyster sauce (1 Tbsp), fish sauce (1½ Tsp) and sesame oil (½ Tsp).
