Chicken yakitori is a very popular snack at Japanese Izakaya (Japanese pubs). The delicious sweet yakitori sauce is perfect with the tender chicken thigh meats!
Ingredients
300 g Boneless Chicken Thigh
5 Skewer
Sauce Mix
2 Tbsp Light Soy Sauce
2 Tbsp Sake
2 Tbsp Mirin
1 Tbsp White Sugar
Method
1. Prepare the sauce mix with light soy sauce (2 tbsp), sake (2 tbsp), mirin (2 tbsp) and white sugar (1 tbsp) in a bowl.

2. Dice the chicken thighs (300 g) and thread the chicken pieces on skewers (5 pcs).

3. Pan fry both side of the chicken until golden brown with oil (1 tbsp).

4. Add the sauce mix and cook until the sauce is thickened. Brush the sauce on the skewers and serve.

Note
Soak the skewers in water for 30 min to prevent burning if you are cooking the chicken skewers in an oven or barbecue.
