Egg Agar Agar Jelly

Egg agar agar jelly is a classic dessert in Hong Kong using agar agar and eggs as main ingredients!


  • 12 g Agar Agar

  • 1 L Water

  • 150 g Rock Sugar

  • 2 Eggs



1. Soak agar agar (12 g) in water for 20min.

2. Bring a pot of water (1 L) to a boil, add rock sugar (150 g).

3. Add agar agar, simmer the mixture over low heat for 15 min until the agar agar has dissolved completely.

4. Whisk together the eggs (2 pcs) in a small bowl.

5. Turn off the heat, add the beaten egg (2 pcs) to make the egg drop.

6. Once the jelly mixture has cooled down to room temperature, refrigerate for at least 6 hr.
