This pork and veggie mix in spicy sesame sauce is a very popular dish originated from north-eastern part of China. You can prepare this dish with your favourite ingredients and it is quick, simple and easy-to-make!
Ingredients
300 g Pork Slices
300 g Assorted Fish Balls
300 g Assorted Vegetables
1 Tbsp Fried Garlic
½ Tbsp Sesame Seeds
Sauce Mix
3 Tbsp Light Soy Sauce
2 Tbsp Zhenjiang Vinegar
1 Tbsp Oyster Sauce
1 Tbsp White Sugar
1 Tbsp Sesame Paste
1 Tbsp Sichuan Peppercorn Oil
1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
1 Tbsp Chili Oil
½ Tbsp Chili Flakes
½ Tsp Cumin Powder
½ Tsp Five Spice Powder
Method
1. In a bowl, add five-spice powder (½ tsp), cumin powder (½ tsp), white sugar (1 tbsp), chili flakes (½ tbsp), fried garlic (1 tbsp), sesame seeds (½ tbsp), sesame paste (1 tbsp), oyster sauce (1 tbsp), light soy sauce (3 tbsp), Zhenjiang vinegar (2 tbsp), Sichuan peppercorn oil (1 tbsp), sesame oil (1 tbsp) and chili oil (1 tbsp). Mix well to form the sauce mix and set it aside.
2. Bring a pot of water to a boil then blanch assorted fish balls (300 g) over medium heat for 1 min.
3. Drain the fish balls and set them aside. Add assorted vegetables (300 g) and then blanch over medium heat for 3 min.
4. Drain the assorted vegetables and set them aside. Add pork slices (300 g) to the pot and then blanch it over medium heat for 2 min and drain well.
5. Place all the ingredients in a pot, add the sauce mix and mix well to serve.
