Steamed egg custard with milk is a popular dessert in Hong Kong and Guangdong province. It is a delicious dessert amongst all ages and extremely easy to make and could be served hot or cold!
1 Egg White
150 mL Milk
1 Tbsp Condensed Milk
1. Separate egg white (1 pc) from egg yolk, mix with milk (150 mL) and condensed milk (1 tbsp).
2. Strain the egg mixture through a sieve.
3. Cover with foil, steam at medium heat for 15 min.
Condensed milk can enhance the milk flavour of the custard. However, it could be replaced by sugar.
Covering the bowl with foil during steaming can prevent water from condensing back to the surface of the milk custard.
