Sweet Potato Soup

Sweet potato soup is a sweet and gingery traditional Chinese dessert that only takes around half an hour to make with simple ingredients!​


  • 450 g Sweet Potato

  • 1 L Water

  • 50 g Ginger Slices

  • 70 g Brown Sugar



1. Peel, wash and chop sweet potatoes (450 g) into chunks. Keep the sweet potato chunks in water to avoid them turning brown.

2. In a pot, add water (1 L) and ginger slices (50 g), bring it to a boil over medium heat.

3. Add sweet potato chunks, simmer over medium heat for 10 min.

4. Add brown sugar (70 g), simmer over medium heat for another 5 min.
